The objectives of the MAAD shall be:
  1. to protect the mutual interests of all member clubs of the MAAD;
  2. to promote the regional and national amateur sports competition of Deaf athletes including:
  3. scheduling Regional Tournaments for:
    1. basketball (last two (2) weekends in February/first two (2) weekends in March)
    2. softball (on or before the third (3rd) weekend of July), and
    3. other sports (and dates) as may be sanctioned or authorized;
  4. to promote, regulate, and award athletic championships within the MAAD;
  5. to provide social events for Deaf members and their friends at MAAD Tournaments;
  6. to affiliate with applicable naaDs
    1. National Softball Association of the Deaf (NSAD), June 1993, and
    2. United States of America Deaf Basketball (USADB), April 2000;
  7. to enter the MAAD representative team in respective national tournament;
  8. to support, financially and morally, the MAAD championship team’s participation in the National Tournament;
  9. to provide and serve all Deaf youths and adults with the highest ideals of
    1. recreational,
    2. cultural,
    3. educational, and
    4. athletic programs;
  10. to provide program for:
    1. leadership development training, and
    2. athletic training;
  11. to promote the establishment of an MAAD Home Office;
  12. to incorporate and to register for charitable purposes within the meeting of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code:

    The MAAD is incorporated in the State of Missouri, and is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
