Overall, the tournament went through well and there were some exciting games that drew fans’ intense attention.
In the Men’s championship game, Denver led most of the game with 8 minutes left. St. Louis started a rally and got the 1 point lead under 2 minute mark and nailed it with a two points basket against Denver’s swarming defense to build their lead to 3. Denver’s last attempt failed so St. Louis upset Denver to win the championship. The final game score was 64 – 61.
In the women’s championship game, MinnePaul was a no match for Olathe despite their courageous
effort to slow down MinnePaul’s leading scorer Ronda Jo Miller who scored 29 points. The final score
was 61 – 47.
